The League of Friends of Exmouth Hospital recently visited Hospiscare at Searle House in Exeter to present a donation of £15,000.
Chairman David Bassett presented the cheque to Ann Rhys, Hospiscare Clinical Director and Deputy CEO, continuing the League’s support for organisations providing important services to people in the local community.
Supporting Hospiscare
Hospiscare provides specialist care and support to patients and their families living with life-limiting illnesses, including people connected with Exmouth Hospital and surrounding community services.
During the visit, Ann Rhys, Ruth Wills, Chief Nurse, and Louise Beekan, Head of Fundraising, spoke to the League’s trustees about the services Hospiscare provides and the fundraising needed to maintain and develop them.
Trustees were also given a tour of the facilities at Searle House and an opportunity to learn more about the work carried out by the Hospiscare team.
£15,000 donated to support local care
The League of Friends is pleased to contribute £15,000 towards Hospiscare’s work.
Donations such as this are made possible by the generosity of League members, supporters, donors and the local community.
